AGNIESZKA SWITALA is a member of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards (AACTA) and Screen Producers Australia. Her feature film, Moon Rock for Monday (2021), garnered critical acclaim and was nominated for an AACTA award in the highly competitive Best Indie Film category. Her short film Mokwi: Brother was featured at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) in the Telling Tales: Excursions in Narrative Form Exhibition.
Agnieszka launched her producing career at the Australian award-winning production house Bronte Pictures (known for The Fabulous Four, Heart of the Man, Take My Hand), where she contributed to titles such as Out of the Shadows and The School (star. Milly Alcock). She then teamed up with Jim Robison and Lunar Pictures (known for Switzerland star. Helen Mirren) to co-produce the award-winning Moon Rock for Monday and assisted in the development of The Room Below before relocating to the US with her family.
Throughout her career, she has worked on award-winning feature films, short films (4D, Hard Land of Wonder), the viral web series Real Estate and
award-winning ad campaigns, first with ABC’s in-house agency - ABC Made, and recently with InnoVision Marketing Group, where she produced two standout Super Bowl ads. In addition to her film work and creative consultancy, she is a Director of Production at Pretzel Logic Productions based in San Diego, CA.
LAURENCE ROSIER STAINES is an award-winning screenwriter and director gaining a reputation for original, inventive and savage comedies with strong political and psychological undercurrents. His short film and web series Real Estate – a black comedy exploring the property market – was an official selection of eleven international film festivals and is being developed into a ten-episode series to be filmed in the United Kingdom, while his screenplay Christ is Back won the Austin Film Festival Pitch Competition 2020, was a Semifinalist in the ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship 2021 and placed in the Top 50 of the hugely competitive Cinquest Screenwriting Competition 2022. The Black List has called it “a clever, ingenious political-religious satire”, “wildly funny” and “fresh, clever and well-executed with a razor-sharp writing voice”. He has written and directed five short films since 2012, all of which have won awards.
